Termites

Massachusetts is heavily infested with a species of termite called the eastern subterranean termite. Mature colonies house an average of 300,000 workers, and they feed continuously on any wood that they can find. If termites nest on your property, they can cause extensive damage to construction timbers and other wooden components.

Mosquitoes

No other creature in the world kills more humans and livestock than the mosquito. While mosquito-borne illnesses such as malaria have been eliminated in the U.S., West Nile virus and several forms of encephalitis are still a major problem. Mosquitoes are also the exclusive cause of heartworm in dogs and other pets.

Ticks

Like mosquitoes, ticks nourish themselves by feeding on the blood of humans and animals. Ticks are also capable of spreading their own variety of dangerous illnesses. Babesiosis, rickettsiosis and Lyme disease are some of the most common tick-borne diseases in the United States. Symptoms of Lyme disease include fever, headache, fatigue, depression and an inflamed circle around the bite area. If left untreated, the disease can lead to severe nerve pain and permanent nerve damage.
